Pooja Shah, PsyD is a clinical psychologist. She has a master's and doctorate in clinical psychology. She has worked in addictions and with disordered eating, including weight loss and binge eating since her undergraduate career. In addition, she has worked with co-occurring challenges that come with addiction and disordered eating such as issues related to trauma, grief, loss, and personality disorders.
She works with a direct approach and will encourage you to move towards your goals and out of your comfort zone. She will work to empower you to believe in yourself and your capability to make positive changes. When appropriate she will help you obtain a better understanding of past experiences and connecting how they impact current behaviors and reactions. She will help you identify barriers and obstacles and how to move past them.
Dr. Shah enjoys spending her time with her spouse and son during her spare time. She lives a plant based lifestyle and enjoys taking time daily to focus on her health goals.
Jocelyn is a Bilingual (Spanish and English) Pre-Licensed Therapist. She obtains a Bachelors in Psychology from Aurora University and a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lewis University. Jocelyn believes that one of the most powerful things an individual can do is begin the journey to cope and heal.
She understands that seeking help is a hard step. Her goal is to provide a comfortable space where she can be a guide to her clients and help them feel better about themselves and life.
Jocelyn works with her clients to help them meet their treatment goals in a non-judgemental space. Depending on the presenting issue, she likes to utilize different therapeutic interventions and techniques. Jocelyn commonly uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Client Centered Play Therapy. Jocelyn has worked with the following specialties but is not limited to, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Self-Esteem, Relationship Issues, and Family Conflicts.
Jocelyn identifies herself as warm and understanding and provides counseling sessions in English and Spanish. During her spare time, Jocelyn enjoys to spend time watching her favorite TV shows, playing with her Pomeranian dog, and spending time with her husband and son.
