Who we are
Empowered Minds Today (“EMT,” “we,” “us”) provides psychotherapy and related services in Naperville,
Illinois. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information on our website at
https://empoweredminds.today and in our office check-in kiosk. It is not our HIPAA Notice of Privacy
Practices. Health information created for your care is covered by that notice.
Information we collect
If you email or call us, we receive what you choose to send, such as your name, email address, phone
number, and your message. When you visit the website, our host may record technical information such
as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the date and time of the visit.
The office check-in kiosk does not ask for a name, date of birth, phone number, or the reason for a visit.
It records the arrival type you select, the date and time, and the clinician or staff member you select.
How we use information
We use this information to answer questions, operate and secure the website and kiosk, and tell a
clinician or the front desk that someone has arrived. We do not use it for marketing.
Text message alerts
EMT Check-In Alerts is an internal text program. Messages go only to EMT clinicians and staff who have
given a mobile number and agreed to receive arrival alerts. Messages do not go to clients. A typical
message says that a client has checked in and includes no client name. Message frequency varies with
office check-ins. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or contact admin@empoweredminds.today
or 331-444-2505. Message and data rates may apply.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing
purposes. We share information only with service providers who host the website, the kiosk, or the text
service, and only so they can perform that work for Empowered Minds Today, or when the law requires
it.
